The rheumatology training program prioritizes mentorship of fellows, focusing on their progress and development in order to prepare them for their future careers. Our program leadership works closely with each individual to provide support and guidance towards reaching their unique career goals.

Mentor Meetings:

The Clinical Competency Committee meets twice per year to comprehensively review each fellow’s performance and progress. Fellows meet with the fellowship program director twice per year to review progress and give their feedback for the program.

Career Mentorship:

The program director meets with each fellow twice per year to discuss their career plans and provide individualized guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Alumni Network:

In an effort to help our fellows with the next stage of their career after graduating, we have established a close and trusted alumni network with recent graduates to share employment advice and connect them to opportunities. Many alumni actively contribute to our program by volunteering on the consult service at LAGMC and in the clinics-- offering more chances to network.
